Radishes and Puppies-Look!

HI, my son has gone home. I miss him already. I've got a fresh apple cake in the oven for church tonight. It smells good--warm and cinnamony. Yum. I've been painting this little radish painting this weekend. You know , when I first started the blog someone told me to only talk about my watercolors but it seems to me like my watercolors are a part of everything in my life, and I feel so thankful that is true. While the men were busy exercising... yes they do it everyday(not me), I painted. In between making chicken salad and dinner,I painted..(This was on Friday before he got here.) I've even painted waiting for the apple cake to cook.  Here is the latest photo Kendra sent me of the yellow lab puppies!! I hope you don't mind me sharing it, Kendra. It's so adorable, I couldn't help myself. I am so looking forward to having a painting partner. She will be such a joy. ( I will always have my Daisy in my heart and as you all know miss her everyday.) Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend. I'm going to curl up with a book and read for awhile. talk to you soon,Diana
Tell me what you've been doing this weekend and who is your painting partner?

Happy St Patrick's Day! The radishes count for my green, don't they??

  1. This is a beautiful painting - very interesting and fun! And what's cuter than a "basket" full of puppies?!? ha ha

  2. Oh, Diana those puppies are adorable. Nothing like rolly polly fat puppy bellies. The one bottom front looks like it'll be a darker yellow than the rest. Poppy is finally settling into being a good painting companion, napping on her chair or watching me with one open eye.

Lovely radishes. There's enough green in the painting to make a leprechaun happy!!! :-)

Sounds like you are having a delightful and relaxing Sunday. My pot of corned beef and potatoes is almost ready - been tempting us all afternoon. I baked 2 loaves of Irish soda bread and we'll have some asparagus. While I love to paint cabbage, I hate to eat it. :-O

    Enjoy your evening.

  7. Dear Diane - I love hearing about the other parts of your life. Your art is always so beautiful but it is wonderful to know the artist behind it...so please keep sharing. As for those puppies - oh my - I bet you can hardly wait. As for me I have six painting partner's but Sinbad and Sarge are my most faithful. Take care and thanks for sharing your life. God bless.

  9. Belated St Pat's Day greetings, Diana. We had our once-a-year corned beef, cabbage and potatoes dinner and shared it with Marty & Bob T. It was so good to see them both as they are such dear friends. The puppies are looking cute. No painting partner unless painting the walls counts and then it would be Pat.

  10. Your painting looks fabulous and how exciting to be getting a new furry family member! I'm with you, art simply can't be separated from life. It's all a part of the process :-) I have a furry painting partner too, our springer usually settles right behind my chair when I am working.
