Thunder and Little Watercolors

Hi, We are having a thunderstorm now. The sky has been filled with gorgeous clouds. I was out in my front yard with Sadie just a few minutes ago(before the storm),she digging a hole, me looking at the sky. I feel like I've wanted to paint so much lately and it's been so hard to get the time, here are 2 little paintings. The orchids I tried to do a looser watercolor, this is from the wash the other day. The garlic I did while talking to my son on the phone. I just had the garlic laying on my art table. Poor Sadie,my puppy, is laying on top of my feet. She's afraid of the thunder... oooh, no, she has John's good socks with her. Oh my.

 Tell me what you think.
.
Love to you,Diana
yes we need the rain,I'm so glad we are getting it!

  1. Sadie looks like she's going to take a nap with her face in the bowl.

The orchids have a gently abstractness about them.

  4. I love seeing Sadie grow up and hearing of her exploits. Poor baby; I hate when our fur babies get scared. Love both watercolors, Diana. Who knew garlic was such a good subject?

  5. Your Orchids are absolutely beautiful! And a great Garlic bulb too.
Sherlock heard loud thunder for the first time the other day too and luckily he barely even noticed! Our last dog, Codi, was terrified, so I was relieved that he doesn't seem bothered :0)

  6. My old dog would run to crawl into the bathtub. I guess she thought it was some sort of bomb shelter. :) When she became badly arthritic, I'd have to lift her in and take her out, and she was no light-weight.
