  1. Dear Diana,

I've only just started to read your blog and so haven't commented before. Your love for Daisy touched me deeply. After yesterday's post, I woke up thinking about you and her, hoping all was well. I so very sorry. It's heartbreaking to loose a dear pet and as you say she was a companion to you throughout the day. I send love and understanding to you in hopes it will support you just little bit through your grief.

    Yours,
    Nanina

  3. Diana, I am so sorry about your Daisy. I discovered your blog a few months ago and have come here daily. I so enjoy your paintings but especially the human touch you add to your writings. I know you miss her terribly and your heart is aching. There is no greater loss than that of a beloved pet.

  5. Sending you much love from Texas. This is a loss like no other and my heart breaks with you. I wish I had the words or wisdom or magic wand to help more, but know that you are in the hearts, thoughts, and prayers of many.

  9. I am new to your blog and enjoy your painting style immensely! But, as a dog lover, the story of Daisy has really touched my heart and I can really feel your grief as you share her story. This poem expresses the way I feel everytime I lose a dog, maybe it will help you, too.....

"It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generouse and loving as they are."

I hope in time you can honor Daisy's memory by allowing a new dog into your heart!
