That's all Folks.

HI, I think that's all.. still love to hear your thoughts.. I worked out on the back porch. It's so nice and sunny and warm today. I couldn't help but glance over at my Daisy's rug. Last year this time we were out here together enjoying being together.I still miss her so. It's been over 6 months since she died. Bittersweet memories but I'm so thankful I had her in my life. talk to you soon. I'm going for a quick bike ride then.. on to framing. Diana
ps. I'll sign it after I get the mat on it..

  1. It's beautiful, Diana. That orange contrasting with violet is divine. I always enjoy seeing your palette as you work on a painting. I'm such a slob!!! :-)

My Madam Lasagna died a month after your Daisy. It's so hard isn't it?! You don't recover from the loss of such a friend. I've been blessed with a new pup, but she's a handful. Not the quiet studio companion I've been used to. Days go by with me being unable to get any painting done because Poppy needs attention. So very worth it though.

    All the best!

  2. Hi Diana, your latest is gorgeous, I'm going to have to invent new words to tell you how I love your paintings. I like the leaves just as they are, and the light purple ... very good choice.
As for the Daisy story, You know I am in this room most of the day and can't begin to tell you how many times I feel Angie here with me.
The tiled floor where she use to like to lay flat on her belly, I called it'turtle legs' .
Oh yes, I know the feeling. (still) BJ

  3. It makes me so sad to see your Daisy's place on the porch. I hate that we lose our pets but the joy does come in knowing that they were loved and had a wonderful life.

The completed lily is truly beautiful and I love the simplicity of the background.

  4. Playing the bright orange off the pale violet it a different take on this - one not usually seen. At first, I didn't like it as much as greens there - but I think it's a strong statement that this is your work and you choose the colors so it's definitely growing on me :) And, of course, it's painted beautifully - love the looping rhythmic shapes in the background that add to it.

  5. HI Nanina, thank you. I wondered about the purple leaves. My palette is always pretty messy. If you see it up close there is still a little sand from our beach trip. Ha ha.. I enjoy reading about your Poppy. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know and I'm sorry you know how I feel. Hope you are feeling better and kiss Poppy on the nose for me.HI BJ. I know you know and Daisy laid like Angie,it was so cute. yes I feel Daisy too. You always say something to help me and encourage me. Thank you dear friend.Thank you so much Sherry, you are always so encouraging too,Rhonda , thank you. I'm happy with it. I feel like right now it's me. thank you for your honesty. Sending each of you a hug, love,Diana

  7. Dear Diana - this is truly beautiful - your butterfly is outstanding. Makes me sad for you about Daisy but I know in time you are going to have a new sweet baby to help ease the loss. Take care and have a great day.
