Sunset Watercolor

Well I finished it. Just now. I'm going to frame it for tomorrow. I've got to frame the Red Lilies too.. and that's a wooden frame. Which means nails and glue and lots of fun stuff... oh you know how I feel about framing.  Tell me what you think of this one. Be honest please. When I started it I was feeling WOW.. but then to intensify the colors I had to glaze about three times on the sky and the water each separately. I also added extra colors of red and yellow to punch it even further..Talk to you soon, Have a great weekend! Diana

    Your colors are gorgeous! Your technique is magical too. That all said, (and I hate when an artist blogger friend says "be honest" to be honest, though I usually am always honest anyway...LOL), I think it has lost some of that beautiful landscape look I initially saw and has moved a bit more into the abstract realm. Nevertheless, it is beautiful.

    Talk about stepping out of the box! They say that the only way to keep learning is to be willing to try new things and sometimes they just work. It is beautiful.
