Landscape in Watercolor

Started a landscape, yesterday I drew it and today I  have started the painting.

Sadie and I both have been upset today.

The loggers are here. John and I chose to do this but it tears at my heart each time I hear the saw ,then crash. The 2 cats sat on my art table as I painted, Sadie panted and panted. I talked to a dear friend  tonight and he recommended looking at the good that will come out of it. John suggested planting sunflowers, I would like that.

I am teaching at Norfolk Botanical Garden this Saturday, Calla Lilies will be the subject.

Talk to you soon, more painting with Sadie tomorrow, love,Diana

  1. I am sorry you are sad. John is right, planting flowers can be a nice change. Is that a Sadie pool I see in the yard? Your boat painting is beautiful!

  2. Dearest Diana I so understand your sadness. I am sure though that the loggers will leave the smaller trees and they will grow better because they will have more room. Sunflowers will be lovely. Please don't be sad. Love your beautiful landscape. Hugs

  5. Sometimes a decision is the right one but it's not the easy one. I am sorry to hear how upset you are about this, but maybe do think of what you may plant there to make you happy.
