Mule,8x10,original watercolor,framed $99. |
Hi ! I just put the finishing touches on my "Mule". I had to add some color for his blue ear to define it and add more black on the nose. I used the granulated Luna Black of Daniel Smith paint for his nose. Love the gritty look of it. I'll frame this today for the show tomorrow. Rock Church Art Festival,Melfa,Va. from 10am-4pm. The weather is going to be perfect. We'll have to take the tent because it's outside but it will be fun to be with my art friends and hope to see lots of people there. Hope you each have a wonderful weekend. Here's Sadie. She's been watching the rain come down this morning sitting on the porch. Love to each of you,Diana
Really LOVE your mule, Diana!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely painting of the mule and I know the granulation will add wonderful texture, just as real animal noses have. Your porch is wonderful so I am sure Sadie enjoyed the relaxation out there watching the rain fall.
ReplyDeleteLovely painting. Enjoy the art festival. The weather looks good for the next few days.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely and quirky painting! Looks like a lovely addition to the Camel! :0)
ReplyDeleteDear Diana - Love the mule...He looks wonderful all decked out in your gorgeous colors. Never have used black watercolor - so will have to check out DS 's lunar black. Looks gorgeous on his nose. Hope you had a great time at your art festival. Hugs!
