Our Dusty

Dusty, our dear dog, passed away Saturday, February 26th at 8:45am. She had lung cancer, we only found out about 2 weeks ago and the cancer was everywhere. She was a wonderful friend and we love her dearly and always will.Dusty loved the snow,loved everyone she met!She followed us everywhere. When I went into the kitchen she came with me, next to me at the art table, next to J. when he went to get the paper.Always next to us.Always loving and always missed so very,very much.Diana

Dusty is Famous

HI, Guess what, Dusty is now Famous. Haha. She is featured in the Onancock Pet Rescue Calendar!!! I sent in her photo and she was chosen! These calendars are on sale around Onancock,Va. now in various stores. and She and I are invited this weekend to a Christmas pet party/open house.. I'm sure you could come too at the Southeast Expeditions in Onancock. Sounds like fun! talk to you soon, Diana

Calm Before Earl

HI, today I've been up to Parksley to Annie's Restaurant, I saw Matt, the owner, and changed my paintings, removed the ones left and put in some new ones. It's a nice place to have lunch or dinner, we have and enjoyed every moment. Afterwards, I got my groceries and bottled water and canned tuna in preparation for Hurricane Earl.. The Storm is coming up the east coast and right now Dusty(pictured with Daisy the snorer) is calm. Now she is. She will probably be clinging to the ceiling if we do get any rain,wind, or whathaveyou. I will run extra water to paint with- Take care and brace yourselves. May you all be safe.. Hope to see you at the Pignic Art Show on Saturday!Diana

SNOW

Wow! We don't usually get this much snow. Sometimes 2 inches, but look at this! Inspiration galore.The hush as the snow falls, there is a hush now. So beautiful, the sparkles and the deep blues and purple shadows. Almost 12 inches of snow. I've been painting a chickadee in the snow. I've fixed a bird feeding tree with lots of gourmet bird food ( triple decker peanut butter sandwiches, raisins,nuts, oranges, bacon grease sandwiches). I love birds and enjoy painting them. Here is Dusty, she has enjoyed leaping in the beautiful white stuff!Pure Joy! Talk soon.Diana
