Boats in Landscape
Here is the boat landscape. Today I taught a class at Norfolk Botanical Garden. Calla Lilies, gorgeous huge white ones, everyone did a beautiful job. My class has their beautiful paintings hanging in the Education Hall. I am so proud of them.
The loggers are just about done with the cutting in our yard. They are very sweet men. It is amazing how many birds are coming into the cut trees. I am trying to see the good ,more light....
I ll show you photos from class soon, have a great weekend, love to each of you, Diana, ps thanks for being there for me.

Landscape in Watercolor
![]() |
Started a landscape, yesterday I drew it and today I have started the painting.

Sadie and I both have been upset today.
The loggers are here. John and I chose to do this but it tears at my heart each time I hear the saw ,then crash. The 2 cats sat on my art table as I painted, Sadie panted and panted. I talked to a dear friend tonight and he recommended looking at the good that will come out of it. John suggested planting sunflowers, I would like that.
I am teaching at Norfolk Botanical Garden this Saturday, Calla Lilies will be the subject.
Talk to you soon, more painting with Sadie tomorrow, love,Diana

Painting All the Time for Show Saturday!
Blue Emu, original watercolor by Diana ,$99
Hummingbird and Dogwood, original watercolor in process, by Diana
Harborton, original watercolor, $99 by Diana
Hey, Sadie, my Labrador, and I have been painting each day morning and afternoon to get ready for the Women's Club Art Show this upcoming Saturday. In the afternoon we take my paints outside to sit in the sun and paint. Sadie chews on whatever while I work. Yesterday, she ran into the forest, came back with a piece of plastic pipe from a drain field.. ate a bug and after I retrieved the pipe, both she and I had a Maalox. (anti-acid chewy for upset stomach)..
Here are a few of the paintings I'm working on.
PS. I've joined Facebook. I don't know what I'm doing so if you have any tips please.. tell me. I did it for advertising my watercolors.. Talk to you soon. Love to you,Diana

Day 2
Hi, What a day.. I ran some errands..first thing this morning. Then back home, fixed lunch. Monelle came this afternoon to paint. She's working on some adorable animal.
Tomorrow I'm teaching at the Norfolk Botanical Garden-landscapes of the garden so I've been getting ready for that too.We will be doing this exercise in class tomorrow. Just wet, then paint a 2 inch strip going horizontal of different colors, let them blend as you go. Go back in after it dries .. as you can see I was rushing but you can draw first or just wing it and paint. Negatively around tree forms and see what appears. It's fun. Do you see the trees?? I was using a line of oak and loblolly in the forest opposite our house to go by.
I've also made 6 lbs of chicken salad, my sons coming home for the weekend.
take care and I'll be talking to you tomorrow. This is day 2 and it's hard! ha ha.. Diana
