Eastern Shore Landscape using Brusho

Eastern Shore Landscape using Brusho

Monelle and Willie at the ESAL Paint out at Carla's
HI Everyone, I just had a nice day at Carla's home. This was another Eastern Shore Art League Paint out. We had lunch and painted her views. I told her each window seemed to show something to paint.. Gorgeous, like the photo in the middle here. My camera stopped working of course but I got to paint, I was sitting opposite Monelle.  I painted the scene above, with Brusho. I put the warm water on then sprinkled it on.. then added a few brush strokes and watercolor as needed. It was fun. Sadie is now raring to go play and I"m tired.. ha ha.. that is the way it goes. Tell me what you've been doing. love to you,Diana

PS My show at Eastville Inn closes Saturday am so please check it out before if you can!! Thanks~

Newest Blue Crab Watercolor in the Works and THE Eastville Inn Opening~!

My newest blue crab, I've been working on this week.
HI~ I did a little drizzle of water and then color in the background and drew the crab after this was dry. I've still got to add a few more legs and finish him. It's been fun.

I just walked Sadie, our lab, around the backyard. She wandered into the woods but thank goodness did not bring me anything today(yesterday it was a smelly treasure ugh) and she came back pretty quickly.

I then walked into the nursery across the street but it was so cold I didn't dilly dally as my grandmother used to say. I was moving faster than usual. Picked up a few Ginko leaves and came home, there was a pine branch in the driveway so I''ll put that in the living room somewhere for the lovely smell.

I made chocolate chip cookies this morning but did them in bars. Funny they don't seem to taste as good. Ha.  What have you been doing today?? love to you,Diana

PS> Don't forget Come to The Eastville Inn tomorrow night, Dec. 20 anytime from 6-8pm I will be showing my work in this gorgeous restaurant.  Hope to see you if you are nearby. Thank you!!!

Blue Emu, original watercolor by Diana ,$99

Hummingbird and Dogwood, original watercolor in process, by Diana

Harborton, original watercolor, $99 by Diana

Hey, Sadie, my Labrador, and I have been painting each day morning and afternoon to get ready for the Women's Club Art Show this upcoming Saturday. In the afternoon we take my paints outside to sit in the sun and paint. Sadie chews on whatever while I work. Yesterday, she ran into the forest, came back with a piece of plastic pipe from a drain field.. ate a bug and after I retrieved the pipe, both she and I had a Maalox. (anti-acid chewy for upset stomach)..

Here are a few of the paintings I'm working on.

PS. I've joined Facebook. I don't know what I'm doing so if you have any tips please.. tell me. I did it for advertising my watercolors.. Talk to you soon. Love to you,Diana

Pansies and Violet Watercolor

New Pansies, original watercolor,8x10,$99.

HI, Tomorrow I 'll be teaching class at NBG.(Norfolk Botanical Garden). I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and the gorgeous garden. I know it will be beautiful. We will be painting cherry blossom branches and pussy willow. I might add a bird into the painting for the fun of it at class we'll see what we want to do.  I just finished  this afternoon--a little pansy watercolor and violets,I found 2 wild violets in the yard. I have planted some pansies in these old barrel planters one in the front yard and one in the backyard a week ago... So now I need to clean out my huge bag with all the supplies in it.Got my iced coffee and  I hope Sadie cooperates.. She has had spring fever today, running around and around the backyard, leaping in her tiny blue pool, trying to eat her bed.. I don't need the rascal eating my pencils or paint tubes..ha ha..  Today is perfect day, sunny and warm.

Have a great weekend. Tell me what you are going to do this weekend.

 Love to you,Diana

More Family and Turkey, It was good!

Sadie as a baby.. adorable!

Here I am..
Well the day after Thanksgiving was full of my sister's family, Terry, Grover(her husband) and Emma( their daughter. Son Jonathan couldn't come as he is with his fiance.. wow.. We all gathered at Mama and Daddy's for lunch of Turkey,salad... and lots of pie. It was a nice day. I'm zonked. Sadie, the dear had me leaping logs and chasing her down in the woods while the men were in the house.  Ok I didn't leap. I can't do much leaping anymore but I did get to see new parts of the woods.. Finally we got back home safe and sound. I fixed leftovers. The men had not missed us. Ha!! Supper is over. I did get to paint for awhile I finished a little landscape of Willis Wharf and framed it. I will take that to the show tomorrow. Wish me luck.. love to each of you, take care, Diana

Harvest Festival, Veggie Painting, and Obedience Lessons

Hot and Sweet Peppers, 8x10,$99.

Sadie riding home.
HI, I completed my veggie painting. Harvest Festival, an all you can eat seafood feast and art show is next Wed. Oct.4th. I'll be showing my art there. I've been to all of them  except the year Daisy and a raccoon got fighting the morning of the show..I went to the vet with her instead and she was fine.....This year they are asking us to each bring our tents.. I'm not happy about the extra hauling..ah well..

So I'm trying to paint as much as I can and frame, too to get ready for the show. I'll have the veggie painting there.

I didn't tell you, Sadie has been taking obedient lessons.. from Kendra. She does so well there and does pretty good here. We've got to practice. Here we are riding home. I'm driving. But I'm pleased she actually now sits on her seat or in the back most of the time as we ride somewhere. She has learned to heel, walking next to me,pass another dog, sit, stay, come(well most/some of the time,in class yes). She's getting there.I enjoy her so much. What a blessing she is and so much company.

Next painting I'll do will be a little landscape, they seem to sell well. Hope so. love to you,Diana
