 Hi Everyone,  here are some photos from my CLASS this past weekend.  Everyone did a beautiful job. This was a hard CLASS, drawing a dragon,  palace,and a goldfish  floating in the pond outside  our windows.  I am so proud of them. NBG is having a special  program called Lantern Asia.  The halls are filled with handmade kimonos made of lace papers. The gift shop is full of beautiful things.it was a lovely day. Bobbie, Renee and I walked around after CLASS. I stopped at Starbucks,  my kids give me cards and I enjoy their coffee so much. Then I needed more flowers and went to McDonald's Nursery for inspiration of flowers.  Exhausted when I got home. Such a wonderful day.love and Easter blessings to you all, Diana

Sometimes I find it hard to post on blogger. DO You? First photo is my dear friend  Renee, she truly is my angel at Norfolk Botanical Garden, she has a cart waiting for  me to carry in all my stuff  which is a lot. Helps hand out,palettes, pencils, brushes..after class she helps me breakdown and haul it all to the car, as well as being one of the best friends  in have.

The 2nd photo  is my dear friend  Bobbie, who is so fun and we all three went to the butterfly house and wildflower meadow, such a blessing. 

Here are pictures of the class. Wonderful friends and they turned out beautiful work.

Trees and Thankful and Heartache

Hi,well here is some of the cuttings. We have land on each side of the house that is cut totally,but there are trees around  the house just fewer than I had thought  in some places.

but I need to focus on the blessings,  the men who worked here were so sweet and worked hard to save trees, each one was dear. I feel like they are my friends. And my other friends gave me tons of plants for my garden, look how pretty it is. Hummingbirds everywhere,a whippourwil in the woods tonight. So I have a lot to be thankful for.

A Sunset in Watercolor!

A friend of mine, John Shire, is a wonderful photographer as well as super nice guy. He has allowed me to paint one of his sunsets. He took this from his backyard. I've been slathering paint and had such a wonderful time. I hope it doesn't fade as it dries.. ah we'll see. I know, why have I stopped.. I am at a stopping point and have got to warm up dinner.. but I'm excited. We'll see how it turns out. More tomorrow.. Diana,

Eastern Shore Art League Paint Out

hi, We had a paint out..at Harborton,Va.A paint out with the Eastern Shore Art League is a day of painting together.We take dishes to share and eat lunch and today we were at Jennie's home in Harborton,a small fishing village on the shore. Her flowers were in bloom, her chickens and coop provided inspiration and her dear dog Emma( a yellow lab-like my Daisy) was there to welcome us. Her studio and home reflected the warmth of her character.I painted a little and enjoyed visiting with friends who kindly remembered my Daisy,so some tears were shared..It was a loving day. take care, Diana
