Warm cup of beans and a Paintbrush.

We had a busy weekend, the class was Saturday and I had 7 students. We painted fall leaves and pumpkins and had a good time. I had a few peppers to paint too and now one is simmering in a pot of Cowboy beans. It's a good recipe... one bag of dried beans, rinse and put in pot of water, add jalapeno pepper and 3-4 cloves of garlic and salt, simmer until done. That's it. So my pepper from class is in the pot.

Today,I really thought it was warm outside, the sun is shining.. so I set everything up on the porch to paint. It's quickly getting cool.. too cold to paint on the porch. But I squeezed some time in and did finish this simple pumpkin painting. I found the flowers in the garden before I started to paint. The pumpkin I did in class. It's a good day for a warm cup of beans and a paintbrush. talk to you soon,Diana

Happy Halloween!!

HI, Happy Halloween, Here is a pumpkin painting I did last year, called "Autumn Beauty". I had found this pumpkin gourd at a local store and brought it home. I wanted to show you a pumpkin watercolor today. I'm so happy both J. is doing great from his surgery and Daisy is doing better. Wonderful!!. So wishing you much chocolate and many treats, and a happy day and evening.Happy Halloween. The second photo is of my finished landscape of Willis Wharf,Va..I've enjoyed using the Quinacrodone Burnt Orange as a color for the roof and grasses. Now on to the next painting--Haha.. take care.. Persimmons,Pears, and Pumpkins

HI, I've been working on this tiny painting of persimmons, pears and pumpkins. I love the rich fall colors. We have a persimmons tree in the backyard, pears we pick at the Hacksneck blueberry farm and the little pumpkin is from my mother's vegetable garden. Daisy and Dusty joined me on our little front porch, as I finished this in the warm sunshine. The chickadees and titmouse were talking to us from the oak 10 feet away.. Wishing you a lovely almost fall day. Diana
