Pansy Watercolor and Puppies

Hi! It's a very rainy, gusty day. The wind is blowing strong now that night has fallen.  I took this photo from the window by my art table looking out on the front yard. You can see the reflection of the little gas heater that's on. I know Richmond got snow today.
I've been working on the little pansy painting. I'll check it over again in the morning to see if I missed anything. I'm glad to be finished.

Haven't heard any news from the puppies. They are now 13 days old. I have not seen them in person. Kendra wanted to wait until they were 2 weeks old for anyone to come visiting.. Is it tomorrow??? Maybe this weekend.. I'm wondering if their eyes are open. I'll bet they are. I've looked up on youtube --yellow lab puppies 6days old and saw what they are doing--puppies their age were doing.... so adorable. If I do get to go see them soon you know I'll take lots of photos.. I may have to start painting puppies. :) talk to you soon,Love Diana

Frozen Washes and Puppy Coming!!

Exciting news.. Which first the washes or the puppy.???Washes ---Last night it was in the 20'sF here so after 8pm I was doing washes and putting them on my plastic table out in the back porch. I knew they were freezing and a few hours later about 11 I went out and got them. They did a beautiful job capturing the ice. See.. that's what the first photo is... I hope you can see the faint crystals.. just in places but I'm happy with it. This morning I did another batch and they are drying inside now.  I see we don't want to leave pools of water on the paper.. that won't work..so I'll remember for my next batch.  After these dry I will hang them up and later determine what they'll be.

And probably the most exciting news!!! Sarah is most probably pregnant. The yellow lab at www.shorefinelabs.com. I talked to Kendra last night and she said it looks like she's 3 weeks pregnant.. so lucky you --you get to hear me ramble on about this-(Forgive Me :)--. I'm so excited. We will be getting a little yellow lab puppy. You know how I miss my Daisy so very much and the new puppy won't be her but will be a loving precious companion!!! Talk to you soon, Diana

More Watercolor Painting and Possum Chasing.

HI, I've been painting today.I used my palette knife on my leaves. Can you tell? I gobbed a little paint on, then flooded it with a juicy brush of water. It was fun! Wish I had more leaves.. well I do have one more. The kittens have moved on.. at least they are gone now. The mother cat took them away. When I looked out the kitchen window at 11 pm there was a big possum eating from the bowl of catfood. J. and I ran out on the back porch. I yelled and said ok --go get him.. and he said no..you go... so I did. I was concerned for the kittens! I just looked around and made a lot of noise. Possum was gone. After we were back sitting in the den I asked hubby.. being the man and all weren't you supposed to go after the wild critters. He said I'm building your character...hum.. :). Well I'm going back to work on this painting some more. I need to finish the blooms and do the last leaf, and I'm sure I'll see more. take care, talk to you later,Diana

Finished Spider Tulips Painting

HI! Well I just finished. Here it is. I haven't signed it yet- will do that in a minute. It's propped up next to Daisy's rugs. I still haven't moved them. It's been 2 months and 2 days since she died. My sweet girl..

I'm so glad to be finished with this one. I hope she likes it. I'll give her a call in the morning. I want to wrap it in plastic and back it for her.

I was surprised and happy to see my coneflowers. They actually came back and  are lovely in the morning light.. wow.. I may have to paint them. Are you painting things from your garden?

The weather here is nice, which is a blessing as our air conditioner broke down this week. The part to fix it is coming in 10 days...It'll be humid and hot in the blink of an eye! :) hope not --ha ha.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend..talk to you soon,Diana
