HI, Happy Sunday! Here is a photo from Norfolk Botanical Garden. This little office is one of the stops on the tram. I was at NBG yesterday teaching an OWL painting class in watercolor. We had a good time. I enjoyed it so much. Nine students. I also hung 3 new 8 x 10s in my show in Baker Hall. Please come if you can--- hope some of you can see it during September while my art show is open.
I'm exhausted but planning on reading this afternoon. Sending my love to you. Diana

Yellow orchid on masa.
I found a small piece of paper with the masa paper already prepared on it so I ďid this orchid for the show.the masa gives it all the texture. I also went to the Onancock Farmers Market today and seeing all the beautiful colors of the fresh veggies helped. Talk to you soon. Love to each of you,Diana

Hi! I finished my heron watercolor. Now, I have started a new painting with 2 butterflies, a Monarch and a Tiger Swallow tail. This has an angel wing begonia. I am having a One woman art show in Baker Hall at Norfolk Botanical Garden for the month of September. I am trying to paint as much as I can so I will have many new pieces. I have a new series of little owls to take as well as so many more. My reception is September 3, Thursday. Everyone's invited. Hope you can come if you are nearby. Time is 4-7pm. I am excited. Spread the word and invite your friends. There is a fee to get into the garden, but you can enjoy the gorgeous place while you are there. Thank you all for your support, it means so very much to me!! Love to each of you, Diana

New Heron Watercolor and Sadie
I some times wonder if I will ever totally learn this tablet. I love the ease of having it here with me while John watches tv. Ah well. Sadie is supposed to be reating for 2 weeks. This is harder for me than her. She is doing ok. Here is my start for this heron painting. I am putting Japanese iris behind him, and have changed the drawing of them. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Love to you, Diana
