Ker Art Festival coming and big slump....

This  is my newest  watercolor, finished and ready to frame for Ker Art & Maritime Festival.

Sadie, has a bacterial infection, is doing better now.
so... I had class  yesterday on Great Blue  Heron  and wild grass,  I am wiped  out  I think  I put so much into my class,it takes a few days to revive.  I am just like that,ah well.  I have to gear up for the show this weekend.  I need a couple of small landscapes. We will see if I can get them done. I truly  have been in a slump for painting. I am still doing it but it is a push right now. Happy rest of the weekend. Love to you, Diana ps do you get in a slump and what revives you.

  1. Hello and a hug for Sadie! Maybe you are just doing too much-perhaps a long rest would help you out of a slump?

  2. Prayers your slump doesn't last, and for Sadie's good health. All the bad weather can be draining as well.
I'm thinking of a big cup of hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows the next time the weather is dreary.

  3. I find that slumps are just plateaus where you need to rest a bit, but internally you are working on the next leap forward - so don't force it unless you really have to do so for the show or your students. I like to look at artwork online, in books, etc. to rest my own painting chops but get new ideas or just enjoy that art is all around us. Good luck on the upcoming show!

  5. I think we all go through a dry spell from time to time, don't worry about it. Give yourself some time to pick up! Sadie is so beautiful. I'm glad she is recovering well :0)
