Love these gorgeous trees on the way out of the garden!
Hi! Yesterday was my class at Norfolk Botanical Garden. Amy found us some lovely Canna. Most were finished blooming. The color on these were bright orange yellow with striped leaves. First we did exercises in blending and basic watercolor, then we poured, after the paintings dried and we had lunch outside in the garden, we drew and continued to painted them. Everyone did a great job!! As I was leaving I took some photos of the banana trees?( I think that's what they are.) John, my husband, bought us dinner from El Maguey, so I didn't have to cook. I'm zonked,as usual after class.

 Have a great Sunday! Love,Diana

I've prepared some Masa paper for painting a few minutes ago. I'm trying to dry it quickly on top of the clothes dryer, I've got some outside on the porch drying too.

  1. Looks a fun day! Can't wait to see what you do on the masa paper. I have some here that I keep thinking on prepping and just haven't managed it yet.

  3. Thanks Sherrie, masa is lovely but I don't really like waiting for the paper to dry after I put it together. It was a fun class, thanks so much, Hi Sandra, thank you, they did do well!! Each person does their own composition and I help each so it's their painting. I've always taught that way. Hope you both have a great day. love to you and thanks so much, love,Diana

  4. Diana - your class sounds wonderful and by the looks of the paintings your students did do a beautiful job. Can't believe fall is almost here and summer is on its way out. We are though to have 90 degrees tomorrow and possibly Weds. - then plummets to the 60's for the week-end. Whew Sept. is a hard month to decide whether one needs shorts or a sweater!! - Have a beautiful week.
