Sadie's operation is today and Maplewood ESAl Paint out.
Yesterday was the Eastern Shore Art League Paint out at Maplewood Gardens in Nassawadox,Va. I went and enjoyed painting a quick watercolor of part of the big house at Maplewood. This is the breezeway and office that connects to the house. Everywhere was flowers as you can see I got some good photos of the hibiscus and canna too. Here are Monelle and Sue and some of us around the pool there. Such a lovely place. I bought a few vinca to plant in my flower gardens. Sadie helped she ate or rather shredded one. Here she is with an ear of corn, from my grocery shopping. Today Sadie gets her spaying operation. My heart is in my throat and will be all day. I'm such a sensitive one.Keep us in your thoughts..love to you,Diana
It's a lovely painting Diana :0)
ReplyDeletePoor Sadie. i remember when Codi was spayed - she was very fragile for a few days, but then was back to her bouncy self!
Hi Diana.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is really lovely!
And I wish you and Sadie well for her surgery. I know you both will be great! :)
Diana - such a beautiful painting. The hibiscus is another painting waiting to happen. As for Sadie - I am sure she will be fine. Shelby just had hers done two weeks ago and she acted like nothing had happened when I brought her home. I will be looking up for the both of you! Hugs Debbie
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie, that means so much! Thanks Kathryn, you are so kind and dear Sandra thank you too. Sadie is fragile.. she is sleeping on a rug next to my art table. But I'm sure she'll be fine. We have to make sure she slows down for 10 days he said. wow.. when she gets feeling better that will be a challenge. He did tell me ---she needs braces on her teeth. He said they aren't coming in correctly as it is now her two canines on the bottom will cut into her top of the mouth... other solution would be to pull those 2 teeth which he can do. That may be the way we have to go.. ha ha braces.. for Sadie.. ha ha. thank you dear friends so much for your support. I've been worried all day. I will probably sleep near her tonight!. love to you Diana
ReplyDeleteDiana, thank you for Sadie's update tonight. She will be fine. Poppy was hell on 4 paws within a day of her surgery. She was also teething, so I had to take her cone collar off so she could chew. What a mess for 2 weeks!!! How about that, braces?!!! I never heard of them for dogs, but what a good idea. Either way you go, I'm sure she will adjust fine. Love your little colorful quick painting.
ReplyDeleteTake care and hugs,
Nanina
We just had our kitten spayed and of course, mamas worry. She'll come through like a trooper. I remember when my daughter's Boxer was neutered. The vet's office actually called and asked her to pick him up because he was so full of P & Vinegar when he woke up. He was such a happy boy and wanted his mommy.
