Wild Mushroom Watercolor

Hi,Well I took another bike ride today. This time I spotted a gold mushroom. It's actually the same kind as the red, but it is metallic gold. Both are hallucinogenic and can be poisonous if eaten. The name is amanita muscaria.   I did bring the gold one home and incorporated it into the little watercolor with an oak leaf and and some acorns.I enjoyed painting them..

Talk to you soon,Diana

This painting is 8x10, $99,"Wild Mushrooms", and copyrighted by Diana M.Davis.

  1. That came out lovely Diana. I never saw an amanita that golden color before in the wild. Now I will have to pay closer attention!

  5. Dear Diana - what a gorgeous mushroom painting... didn't realize they were hallucenoginic (what a word-lol) - I really like the results you get when you are pouring paint - gives a wonderful background. Thanks for sharing friend - hugs Debbie
