HI! I picked these beauties yesterday from the tree over my clothesline in the backyard. I'm pretty sure they are wild persimmons. Each year they are so lush looking. I paint them but don't eat them. A friend told me they are very tart. I've added a tree frog to the branch and I plan to paint negatively and darkly for the background. Love the peachy colors! I drove down to Cape Charles to the Stage Door Gallery this morning. It's exchange your paintings day and was tickled to find I'd sold 2 little paintings. One of an Angry Rooster! :) I'm sipping hot coffee and it's cool today. Happy Monday! Talk to you soon,Diana
ps Tell me what you are doing today!

Oh is this beautiful so far, Diana! Truly lovely and I wish I knew how to get similar effects with watercolor. I'm thinking on your puppies! No births yet?
ReplyDeleteThank you Yvette, I googled it and read up on it. I think it will help. I hope it helps you too. Sending you a hug, love,Diana
ReplyDeleteHI Sherrie, no births yet. Wish it was here. I almost capitulated and got a chocolate one. But no I'm awaiting the yellow one. Just play with washes and duplicate the ones you like in watercolor. Try Saran Wrap on a wet wash.. just do a colored wash and then press the wrap onto it while it's wet. Leave until dry. lots of fun stuff will appear. love to you,Diana
