Checkerboard Chicken!
HI! Yesterday I drew a rooster on my poured paper. I decided to make him checkerboard so this morning after breakfast I started painting him! I mix my own black by mixing sepia and ultramarine blue, so that gives each black square a different hue.. which is nice. I'm going to find lots of chicken photos and decide what color he will be. I want it bright!Take care, talk to you soon,Diana
ps When I walked into the kitchen, there sat Rudy.. I think she was trying to tell me something. What a Cat!
What an imaginative way of painting you have! I have also been inspired by chickens recently, as in a couple of my own previous posts - That's since we got three chickens of our own a couple of weeks ago! I have sketched a feather and and egg so far, but haven't quite got around to a chicken! They are fascinating creatures though aren't they?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished piece :0)
I'm looking forward to how you finish this painting too! lovely start -- the bright colors are smiling!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra, I just saw your girls, You must paint them. They would be adorable all three in one painting. Love your feather and egg and I like your sunset too. It's beautiful thank you for your comment. I've been painting squares All Day, Haha.. thank you Judybec I enjoyed your blog today too, I'll show you tomorrow what I've done on the rooster. I've done the tail in blues, greens and blacks. It's pretty wild! take care to both of you,Love,Diana
